Kaspersky Rescue Disk is a bootable DOS Based Antivirus, the whole point of having a bootable antivirus or also known as a rescue disk is to remove viruses from an unbootable computer due to viral infection. There are two way to create a rescue disk. Start Rescue Disk creation with the built in wizard as shown in the image below :

• Open the main application window of Kaspersky Anti-Virus version 6.0
• Go to Service > Rescue Disk
• In the right part of the window click the Start wizard .. button

• Once you are done, insert the Bootable kaspersky Rescue Disk CD into the CD ROM and reboot your computer. (Make sure you set your cd-rom as the primary bootable device instead of the hard disk)
• When asked to boot from a CD by hitting any key, hit ‘Enter’ to start booting the DOS Kaspersky AntiVirus using Linux.
