Play Sounds Via the HDMI Motherboard

How to Play Sounds Via the HDMI Motherboard

HDMI is a two-in-one audio/video connection technology that is capable of transmitting an uncompressed, high-definition video and audio stream from a source (e.g., your computer) to a compatible receiver (e.g., a surround sound system). If you have a computer with HDMI output and a surround sound system with HDMI input, you can connect the two to hear high-definition audio and see high-definition video from your computer.

1). Turn off your computer, unplug any cords preventing you from moving it to a location where you can access the back panel, and then move it to a convenient location.

2). Plug the HDMI cable into the "HDMI Out" port on the back of your computer, and then plug in the cords you unplugged and reposition your computer back to its normal spot.

3). Plug the other end of the HDMI cable in to the "HDMI In" port on your surround sound receiver. Turn your computer and the receiver on and switch the receiver's input mode to "HDMI." You will now hear sounds from your computer through your surround sound speakers.
