Fix Printing Error from Internet Explorer 7

This post provide Internet Explorer Support to fix Script errors while browsing or printing from internet explorer 7. Due to the security softwares installed in the computer, which doesn?t give
permissions to the Registry in some users.

To Fix it Steps that can be followed:

Method 1
1. Try to optimize Internet Explorer 7.

2. Uninstaling the toolbars.

3. Try to boot in safe mode with networking. If you still have the issues, then follow the below steps.
a) Check if the Anti-virus program has Script Blocking option.If so Disable it and then check.
b) Try to re-register the vbscript.dll and jscript.dll:
regsvr32 vbscript.dll
regsvr32 jscript.dll

c) If the above doesn?t fix, then try download and installing
Windows Script Engine 5.6


Method 2

Note: All the steps given below are to be done by logging into the User account from which we were able to go online fine and able to print fine.

1. Uninstall IE7
2. Perform a complete IE optimization for IE6.
3. If Operating system is XP Pro then go to command prompt and run the secedit command as :
secedit /configure /cfg %windir%\repair\secsetup.inf /db secsetup.sdb /verbose
Note: While running secedit make sure you change all the limited users to computer administrators.

If Operating system is XP home then try copying the secedit file from a Windows XP Professional computer to %windir%\system32 of the home computer and then use the command:
secedit /configure /cfg %windir%\repair\secsetup.inf /db secsetup.sdb /verbose
4. After the step 3 is performed, Please restart the computer.
5. Now try Un-registering and Re-registering the DLL files mention in the following knowledge base article.

6. Check and make sure that we are able to browse or print with out any script errors with IE6 from all the user accounts.
7. Now we can download and install IE7.
8. Restart the computer.
