How to recover data from Mac after Blue screen on startup in Mac OS X

Most of the Mac users might have faced the problem of loosing the data due to Blue screen that they get at the time of start up I also encountered the same problem, and as ever I went on to find a solution on how to resolve the issue, and recover the data without even spending a penny. It can become easier for those who want to spend money or don’t want to get in to technicalities data recovery Mac software can be used, for everyone else the solution follows.

Firstly what I researched about the cause of blue screen so that in near future, it can be stopped from reoccurring. The findings are as under.

Reasons behind Mac OS X blue screen on start up are:
• Mac OS malfunction, damage in the hard drive
• Due to Corrupt preferences as well as the Mac OS X font file
• In compatible boot Items from the third party & login Items

Now we need to move on to the most important thing that is to recover Mac data without any extra cost to incur.
• First step in the progression will be to remove all the start up items and then those should be added one by one.
• The system need to be rebooted each time the start up time is added back. This is necessary to find which one was causing the blue screen error. This all should be done in safe mode.
• Fonts to be removed from the earlier Os and then reinstall it as Mac OS X detect the font from the system folder
• Deleting the files those hold the system preference, it is also recommended as these files keeps track of the network. To do this the system should be started in the single user mode and then the “mount-uv” command needed to be run.
• Use the fsck tool to repair the Mac OS X installation disk.

The most important step of the lot is removing the login items
• The blue screen is considered as the incomplete login, so you need to shut you system off and then restart the system after 30 sec.
• You will then hear the start up tone press>> shift key and keep holding the key till the time you see the greay apple sign.
• Choose apple menu >> System Preferences>>Accounts>>Login items.
• The next step to select all the login items and remove them
• You need to remember the list of the login items those you deleted as you will need theme after wards, you then have to restart the system and then see if the problem has been solved.
• If the problem has been solved you need to add the each login item back and restart the system after adding each login item do that with each item till the time problem reoccurs.
• You then need to remove that particular login item and the problem will be solved

These recommendations can prove out to be beneficial only in the scenario when the data corruption is not severe, if the data corruption is severe then in that case Mac data Recovery Software can only recover the data.
