Rename the Recycle Bin In XP

                My previous post was  "How to remove the Recycle Bin from the Desktop".Today i will show you how to Rename the Recycle Bin in XP.renaming recycle bin is not allowed by default,there is no such option for it.Did you ever wish to change the name from Recycle bin to something that you like.Ex: Trash or Trash Can. 


This is actually possible by making some changes to the registry entries.Please make sure you backup the Registry before playing with it.If you follow these 
simple steps,you can do this is 2mins at the max.






Steps for Renaming  Recycle Bin In XP


* First  backup your registry


* Go to start menu-->click on run --->Type regedit & press enter


* Now Navigate to  HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT/CLSID/{645FF040-5081-101B-9F08-00AA002F954E}


* Open the Folder named 'ShellFolder' and Change the 'Attributes' data value from 
   “40 01 00 20″ to “50 01 00 20″


* Now double click on 'CallForAttributes' entry and change the value to 0.


* Close the regedit and try Renaming the recycle bin.
