It is rumored that Sony Ericsson will launch the successors to its Xperia X10 Mini and Mini Pro Android devices in May, and the launch could take place as early as next week.
Codenamed Mango and Smultron, these phones run on Android 2.3.3 Gingerbread builds and feature 1 GHz processors. Other specs are likely to include three inch displays clubbed with 5MP camera and added front cam.

Sony Ericsson Xperia Play And Arc Available From Best Buy Canada Tomorrow

Once again, we find that the selection of Android phones available to those in Canada is increasing both in size and quality. The next two additions to that ever-growing range of devices available in the Great White North are to be the Sony Ericsson Xperia PLAY and arc. According to a press release from Best Buy Canada, as of April 28th, these two great new handsets will be available on Rogers.

Either one of these Gingerbread-running beauties will cost you $99 on a new 3 year contract. That’s no typo, 3 year contracts are the norm up in Canada (it’s something we’re working on.) But, hey, at least you get a sweet new phone for $99 and Best Buy will even throw in a $50 in-store gift card. So, if you are one of the few Canadians who isn’t working through a 3 year term already, or it’s time for you to upgrade, roll on down to Best Buy tomorrow and check out the two hottest new phones in Canada.

Xperia Mini Pro II Shown Side-By-Side With Original

It’s not like Sony Ericsson to allow leaks to go on for so long without as much as a quick mention of a device’s existence (with the Xperia Play being an obvious exception), but we still haven’t learned about what looks to be the successor to the Xperia Mini Pro.
This time, it’s shown up in a slew of new images alongside the very device it’s replacing. The differences in hardware are clear, but it still won’t stray too far from Sony Ericsson’s original model both in hardware and software. Check out a few more shots at the source link.
