Windows 7 Ideapad launched by Lenovo
Lenovo believed that waiting for a few days would prove to be a better strategy than possibly getting lost in the crowd. Lenovo's new machines include three notebooks, the U150, 550, and Y550P. The Y550P is Lenovo's first Core i7 notebook. It consolidates Intel's turbo boost technology, Nvidia graphics, a 15.6" HD screen, and Dolby Home Theater sound. The Ideapad U150 is a more portable machine; just 13.5mm thick with an 11.6" display. It bundles a low-energy Core 2 Duo processor and 8 GB of RAM. And at last, the IdeaPad U550 has a 15.6" display, Intel Core 2 Duo processor, unified DVD drive, and a switchable graphics card for improved energy efficiency.
Lenovo also released three new desktops today. The all-in-one IdeaCentre B500 has an Intel Core 2 Quad processor, discrete graphics, up to 8 GB of DDR3 memory, and a 1 TB HD. It includes 23" HD screen and comes with a remote control. The IdeaCentre K300 is a traditional desktop with an Intel Core 2 Quad processor; RAID configured hard drives, and a power control switch. Their budget model is the Lenovo H230. It begins at $299 and provided in a variety of configurations.
Lenovo Group which is the world’s fourth largest maker of personal computers also states that Microsoft Windows 7 operating system would finally activate PC users to migrate and replace their systems with newer ones. This claim is very important as the vast majority of Lenovo’s customers are enterprises, who have been cutting their spending this year. Lenovo released its ThinkPad SL410 and SL510 laptops focusing on small business customers and based on Windows 7 operating system. The firm also plans to launch its IdeaPad netbook which feature Nvidia GeForce 9400M/Ion core-logic set with advanced graphics core. Later the company would also launch ThinkPad T400s, R400 and X200 laptops, X200 Tablet, ThinkCentre A58 and M58 desktops and ThinkStation S20 and D20 workstations with Windows 7 for business users. Consumers will be able select from several Windows 7 of Idea-branded PCs including the IdeaPad Y550, Y450, U450, 450p, U350 and IdeaCentre A600 all-in-one desktop.
Verifying the advantages of Windows 7, Lenovo also said that the users who are into animation will be benefited by using Windows 7 advanced graphic features such as Aero Peek and Aero Flip. The OneKey rescue system 7.0 and Lenovo rescue system 3.0 on these PCs will allow the user to backup and recover the data two times faster than the earlier versions. The user can easily perform antivirus scan just with a click and its improved system repair function will quickly repair the critical files and restore personal data. Its ThinkPadX200 Tablet PC and T400s are designed for business users. To make navigation easier the machines are furnished with Lenovo’s ThinkVantage Technology tool. Its ThinkPad also includes a two-megapixel light-adaptive camera and an advanced digital array microphone for noise and echo cancellation.
