How to Install Android Gingerbread 2.3.3 ROM on Samsung Galaxy S


1. Download Android ROM 2.3.3 here.
2. Extracts 'GT_I9000_XXJVK_XXJVK_OXAJVK.exe' and you will get 3 files:
- CSC_OXAJVK.tar.md5,
- PDA_XXJVK.tar.md5
- PHONE_XXJVK.tar.md5
3. Download the file 'Odin-1.7with.pit.512.803.zip' here. After that extract and you will get 3 files:
- Odin3 v1.7,
- s1_odin_20100512.pit and (No use in this guide)
- s1_odin_20100803.pit. (No use in this guide)
4. Turn off the Galaxy S. Make sure you do not link it with the PC.
5. Setting in Download Mode by pressing the following keys simultaneously: Volume Down + Power Button + Home Button.
6. Now shift to Odin. Double click Odin3 v1.7 to run on the computer and place the files there as per instructions in step 8.9 and 10.
7. Leave the box in a state kososng PIT
8. In the PDA box: select the file 'PDA_XXJVK.tar.md5' (step no.2)
9. In the Phone box: select the file 'PHONE_XXJVK.tar.md5' (step no.2)
10. At CSC box: select the file 'CSC_OXAJVK.tar.md5' (step no.2)
11. Be sure to uncheck: 'Re-Partition'.
12. Ensure CHECK: 'Auto Reboot' and 'F. Reset Time 'boxes
13. Now connect the phone to the PC (the phone still in a state of Download Mode)
14. When connected, Odin will show 'Added' below the message box.
15. Press the START button to begin the process.
16. When Odin process is complete, the phone will automatically reboot. Please loose the cable to stop the connection between the phone and the PC during reboot process begins.
17. When the phone restarts, S Galaxy phone you're already running 2.3.3 Gingerbread XXJVK Android ROM. Congratulations!
18. To make sure please check the version via: Options -> Settings -> Scroll down and select About Phone -> Scroll down and see his version.
