Been a child once... As a child I dreamed of living in a fantasy world of magic, monsters, and heroes. I dreamed of being an archer or a warrior slaying monsters, having magic spell to crush the monsters in front of me as well as healing powers to heal my self and others that is being hurt by the monsters. I imagined my self fighting huge and vicious monsters roaming around and the area and the only to survive is to fight and beat those monsters. As a grown up I still have that dream so I spend my time online games. Been a fan and gamer since then.... Until I found the game "Runes Of Magic" which is said to be the next level of MMORPG.
"The end *is* here: Runes Of Magic is here in the Philippines, and has been in Open Beta since January 8. With the ability to play one of eight exciting character classes, a robust and costumizable game system, as well as a vibrant in-game community, Runes Of Magic is the next level of MMORPG. "
I imagined my self being a one of the Scout who wanders aimlessly across the vast Taborean continent with the combination of the Knight's Strength, the Mage's knowledge, Rogue's agility and the divine strength of a Priest. I know that in true world nobody has those ability combined to a person but here in "Life In Taborea: The World Of Runes Of Magic" that could be possible. I wonder how it is being a hero and serve your country with this abilities. It pumps up my adrenalin think of better ways to be strong and complete those quests. I wounder how it would be living in Taborea, The World Of Runes Of Magic.
The Story Line
It all started when Ayvenas created a book in the shape of the world and recorded the origin of life. This was known to be Taborea. Taborea and the inhabitants underwent many different changes, good and bad, as millennia passed by. Each chapter of the book was called an "Age," and further subdivided into Epochs. The inhabitants fell and rose time and again because of their advancements, failures and sins. This is until we reach Taborea's epoch of discovery, the game's setting and timeline. This is an era filled with uncharted lands, monsters, and numerous discoveries waiting to be revealed. And that's where your journey begins.
The Character Classes
There are 6 major classes and upon reaching a level 10, they can opt to add a secondary class. There are up to 30 possible class combinations.
Knights wield the most massive armors and heaviest weapon in Taborea. Fighters by trade, knights draw their strength from their deep faith. They combine might and devotion to intensify their fury in combat and the, as well as augment their defensive capability.
Mage
The wise and the prudent, mages use the knowledge and lore collected through eons in their aim to master the elements. As wielders of immense power, their offense is their best defense. They have the ability to take out hordes in an instance, making them desirable members in dungeon raids and guild wars.
Priests serve as bridges that allow humans to communicate with gods. Imbued by divine strength, they are able to cure wounds, purge magic, and revive the fallen. Priests do these by harnessing water, an element that embodies their duty of healing the sick, cleansing evil, and giving life.
Rogue
Perhaps the fastest among the characters, rogues use their speed to sneak up on their opponents. While they may just have marginal strength, rogues put on an impressive arsenal of moves, coupled by their command of the poison arts, to increase their damage and out do their rivals.
Scout
Scouts wander aimlessly across the vast Taborean continent, which makes them in tune with their surroundings. This makes them either a fine companion or a feared adversary in battle since they can utilize every inch of the area. They prefer ranged attacks to melee combat but when the situation calls for it, scouts have enough trickery to outwit their enemies.
Warrior
Warriors strive to get stronger by mastering the use of close combat weapons and techniques, enabling the likelihood of them emerging from the toughest of struggles. They treat each looming battle as an honor, matching it with brimming will to claim victory.
